Site Visit Program
Invite a State legislator to tour your camp.
Tell them about your camp, the services you
provide, the geographic distribution of your
campers, and educate them on the ACA accreditation
process. Let them know what is on your mind.
A legislator's views on bills are often impacted
by meeting and hearing directly from employers
and businesses in their legislative districts.
This is why ACA-NJ encourages all member
camps to participate in our Site Visit Program.

Hosting legislators at your camp creates
at least four tangible benefits:
- It shows the economic and social contributions
your company makes to New Jersey by showcasing
the services you provide to NJ's children
and the people you employ.
- It provides you and the legislator with
the opportunity to establish a working
relationship.
- It helps your legislator-who is barraged
by countless issues and interest groups-understand
your concerns more clearly.
- It allows you to demonstrate how a proposed
new law or regulation would affect the
operation of your camp, specifically.
